Professors

Trinacris does not have a single Pokémon professor, as happens in other regions: here researchers believe in peer review and collaboration... and it is thanks to this that some sensational discoveries have been made! 
You can read the results of the combined efforts of all the professors in the public libraries, which you will find in almost every city. 
Thanks to its fertile academic soil, Trinacris often hosts professors who come from other regions, and who have come here to collaborate with the most eminent Pokémon experts. 
Here are some of the professors you will meet during your adventure:

 

Professor Camara

Meet Professor Camara, Trinacris' very own leading Pokémon Professor! Specialized in the study of epigenetics and adaptation, she will help you start your journey on this beautiful island, discover the new, unique Pokémon that call it home (along with some familiar faces), and unveil some of its charming mysteries! While, perhaps, having some of her own...

 

(Fun fact, her family name is derived from the scientific name of the Mediterranean dwarf palm, Chamaerops humilis, a plant that's endemic to, among other places, Sicily, the main inspiration behind the region of Trinacris! And fun fact number two, her character is way older than this project, and back then she was mostly a Trainer. We kept that in her backstory, even though she switched to another career as an adult!).

Augustine Platane

A professor from the Kalos region, specialized in evolution and mega evolution. For some strange reason, he can often be found in the company of Team Flare. 
He has a good appearance, perhaps the most well-groomed of the Pokémon professors, but he just can't match the colors of the clothes he wears. Could he be colorblind? He is kind, he likes to share what he has, cuddle his Pokémon, friendly battles and... flirting. 
He only speaks Kalosian, but it seems that this does not bother the girls who are always around him.


*Note: the names of each professor from other regions are the same that the localization/translation of Pokémon has used in the corresponding region... for example, coming from Kalos, which represents France, the name of the professor of the region will be the French one, that is Professor Platane, and not Professor Sycamore as in the English version.
