Grunts on Vacation
In Trinacris, new adventures are always around the corner, but it is also the ideal place to relax, leave your past life behind, and enjoy the moment, losing yourself in the beauty of the waves and the sky... and that is exactly what the "evil" teams (they would prefer to say "antagonistic") of the stories of the past have thought of doing.
Among the markets of Trinacris, on its beautiful beaches, or maybe sitting on the benches eating a granita, you can find some "familiar" faces from the past games... and not only! In addition to the bosses, you will obviously find some of the recruits, the "grunts"... and if in most of the other stories they were just people without names, with all the same faces, and marked by the simple title of "grunt of the *insert evil team*", here instead you can finally get to know these characters a little better, in a relaxed atmosphere, and without the risk of them stealing all your Pokémon (well, maybe the risk is never zero, but, oh well, you can be a bit more relaxed at least).
Team Flare's recruits are characterized mainly by two things: their stylish red suit with matching sunglasses (which for them has an inestimable sentimental value) and existential anxiety. They strongly believe that beauty is a way to oppose the pressure of governments and capitalism, which want to take everything away from the poorest people, including style; they dress eccentrically as a form of protest and resistance.
In Trinacris, only two recruits accompany Lysandre: His parents are originally from Trinacris, but he was born in Kalos. He returned to his family's land to accompany his boss and rediscover his origins.
Dorian is a very small guy (and he seems even smaller when he walks next to Lysandre), generally quite calm, although he panics easily. He has a degree in biological sciences, but works as a cashier (he took a couple of weeks off to come to Trinacris).
He loves dancing and also thinks he is very good at it. In reality, he is a perfectly average dancer, but Lysandre's compliments have convinced him that he is an exceptional talent.
Ionica
She was born in Trinacris, but her parents are from Kalos. Ionica is here during this adventure to act as a guide to Lysandre and Dorian, thanks to her knowledge of the area and the people who live there. Smart, but a little lazy (and for this very reason determined to obtain the maximum result with the minimum effort), Ionica has a much more solid character than Dorian, and acts as his older sister, while she sees Lysandre as a sort of rich uncle (who is her favorite uncle anyway).
She loves cooking couscous, black cherry granitas, and having her feet in the water. She has a small crush on Professor Sycamore (even though she would swear he is not her type at all).

TEAM FLARE
Team Flare comes from Kalos, and is led by Lysandre, a brilliant inventor who they see as their beacon of hope (even though he tried to annihilate every single person in the region, using a kind of monstrous ancient cannon with batteries that run on the energy of legendary Pokémon).Team Flare's recruits are characterized mainly by two things: their stylish red suit with matching sunglasses (which for them has an inestimable sentimental value) and existential anxiety.
